Vega capabilities
SOLIDWORKS parts, just by asking
Describe the part and Vega models it with real SOLIDWORKS features: sketches, extrusions, holes, fillets and patterns, ready to keep editing.
Real examples
Ask it like this
Every example is a real task done with Vega in SOLIDWORKS. Copy the request and try it with your own parts.
-
Base plate with holes
Vega models the plate with real SOLIDWORKS features: sketch, extrusion, fillets and Hole Wizard holes, ready to keep editing.
RequestCreate a 300 x 200 x 15 mm base plate in S275JR steel, with the four corners rounded to R10, four Ø14 through holes 25 mm from the edges and an M16 tapped through hole in the centre.
-
Gearmotor output shaft
Steps, chamfers, DIN 6885 keyway, DIN 471 retaining-ring groove and DIN 332 centre holes in a single request.
RequestCreate a gearmotor output shaft in C45E steel, 330 mm long, with these steps from left to right: Ø40 k6 x 80 with a DIN 6885 keyway for a 12 x 8 key, 70 mm long; a Ø45 x 30 shoulder; Ø40 k6 x 160 for a bearing, with a DIN 471 retaining-ring groove at its end; and Ø35 h6 x 60. Chamfers on both ends and a DIN 332 form D centre hole in each one.
-
Flange with a design table
Vega models the flange with its hole pattern and creates DN50, DN80 and DN100 from an Excel design table kept inside the part, ready to edit.
RequestCreate a flat flange in S235JR steel with three configurations from a design table: DN50 (Ø165 x 18, Ø61 bore, 4 Ø18 holes on Ø125), DN80 (Ø200 x 20, Ø90 bore, 8 Ø18 holes on Ø160) and DN100 (Ø220 x 20, Ø115 bore, 8 Ø18 holes on Ø180), with the description BRIDA PLANA DN50, DN80 or DN100 in each one.
Times and costs of the tasks in the videos are indicative: they depend on the size of the model and on what you ask for.
What Vega does
- Parts from a description: sketches, extrusions, cuts, fillets, chamfers, mirrors and patterns.
- Conceptual 3D sketch before modelling, in the browser: parts or the whole product in their colours, to rotate, check and change before anything is built.
- Hole Wizard holes (through, tapped, countersunk and counterbored), single, in rows or in patterns.
- Shafts for motors and gearmotors in one request: steps, chamfers, retaining-ring grooves, DIN 6885 keyways, DIN 332 centre holes and IEC shaft ends.
- Ribs, sweeps, lofts, draft angles and cosmetic threads.
- Variants of a part: configurations, an Excel design table or one file per variant.
- Material, mass, volume, centre of gravity and dimensions of the part.
