Vega capabilities

Everything you send out, prepared in one go

PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP, Excel, a 3D viewer that opens in any browser… Vega exports it in one go, gathers the manufacturing package and checks that nothing is missing.

Ask it like this

Every example is a real task done with Vega in SOLIDWORKS. Copy the request and try it with your own parts.

3D HTML viewer of the assembly

Vega exports the assembly to a 3D page that opens in any browser, without SOLIDWORKS, ready to send to the customer.

    Request

Export the active assembly to 3D HTML so I can send it to the customer.

Drawing package in PDF and STEP of the components

Vega exports every drawing of the assembly to PDF and every component to STEP, checks that they are all there and flags the ones with no drawing.

    Request

Export every drawing of the active assembly to PDF and each of its components to STEP, in a «Shipment» folder next to the assembly. Tell me which components have no drawing.

Sheet metal cutting package for the assembly

Vega recognises the sheet metal parts of the design and prepares for the supplier the DXF of every flat pattern with its quantity, the PDF of its drawing and an Excel file by material and thickness.

    Request

Prepare the sheet metal cutting package for the active assembly: recognise the sheet metal parts, export the DXF of every flat pattern with the quantity in the file name, the PDF of its drawing and a summary Excel file grouped by material and thickness.

What Vega does

  • Exports to PDF, DWG, DXF, STEP, IGES, Parasolid, STL, eDrawings, 3D HTML, image and Excel…, for one part or a whole assembly in a single request.
  • Manufacturing package in one request: PDF drawings, DXF of the sheet metal, STEP and an Excel file with the bill of materials and the cut list.
  • Sheet metal cutting package: it recognises the sheet metal parts of the assembly and exports the DXF of every flat pattern with its quantity, the PDF of its drawing and an Excel file by material and thickness.
  • 3D viewer in HTML to share the model with people who don't have SOLIDWORKS.
  • It checks what was exported: that every file exists, that the DXF files are in millimetres and to scale, and flags what is missing, such as components with no drawing or an out-of-date one.
  • It never overwrites: if a file already exists, the new one gets another name. If one fails, it retries only that one.

Shall we try it with your parts?

We'll show you Vega live, with your models and your way of working.
